Additional Resourced Provisions (ARPs)
Some settings in Calderdale have Additional Resourced Provisions. Additional Resourced Provisions are for children and young people with an EHC Plan. They need a specific specialist provision that cannot be replicated in a mainstream school.
Children and young people in an Additional Resourced Provision are taught and supported mainly within the mainstream lessons and environment. However, there is the ability to access a separate space and specialist resources for specific teaching opportunities in line with their needs.
The mainstream school is named on the child or young person’s EHCP.
A child or young person needs to have the ability to access mainstream teaching and social times for the majority of the day, or be able to work towards this over time.
