What support will my child get?
All schools are required to set out the way they provide support for children with SEND and EHC Plans. They do this on their website. We would encourage you to look at your local school’s SEND policy.
Usually children with an EHC Plan in mainstream schools are educated mainly alongside other children who don’t have SEND. The teachers and support staff will follow the provision specified in the EHC Plan to support your child. The school SENCO is responsible for overseeing this.
Some schools are taking part in the PINs pilot. The pilot is focussed on early support and intervention for neurodivergent children and young people.
